I got a good chuckle over comments made towards Gords upgrade.

I can't remember the exact qoute but when they said "he had to reach the magical 2700 hours to make the upgrade to Captain". My mind was doing the quick math for the 1/2 time that F/O flight time can be credited to towards the ATPL.

What I'm wondering is what airplane could Buffalo get to replace the C46's and DC3s?

first air due being able to use diesel fuel (jet) and could refuel there in eureka, where as buffalo would have to carry their own return fuel and there fore the bid was higher from buffalo. but it worked out that buffalo was able to get it anyway due to some other problem at eureka i believe
I believe he said Mondial Aviation won the contract.
I missed the show on Wednesday, just had to go skiing so I could further enjoy the gorgeous run of weather God's Country has been experiencing lately. Does History channel ever repeat the episodes ?

Nothing happened to the other carrier, the trips were completed ahead of schedule. So if there was a trip up there it was for something totally unrelated.

Not 100% sure, but when you go to http://www.history.ca/video right now, could episode 12 missing from the thumbnails be what's in the main window?

Buffalo also does fire patrol and crew moves in Barons and Travelaires. There's where your 150 "real" hours come from. :)

Re missing episode #12....

I was able to view this during the short period it was up, and afterwards had a feeling that if I was the operating crew there might be some footage here I wouldn't necessarily want to 'be out there.'

Without being too specific I can't help but wonder if this is the real story behind the missing episode?
