Multiple Careers

Just wondering how many of you out there, are involved in other careers, apart from just flying for a living. For example, my old flight instructor flies with AC and is also a police officer here in Montreal.

Another friend flies full-time, but also works for an IT company downtown.

And yet another former schoolmate and fellow pilot, is finishing off his training to become a firefighter.

As for me, I run my home based business, when I'm not in the air.

What about the rest of you. What other interests do you have outside of aviation?

I'm actually involved in two businesses. The first one deals with health care products, which are in high demand by the Baby Boomers. As for the other, I write exercise programs and I offer my services as a personal fitness trainer.

An instructor i had a while back is a retired police officer. Awesome guy.

Back to the question...wouldn't mind being part time police part time pilot myself.

I think if your not diverse in this industry your not in it too long. I try to make an extra buck where every the oppurtunity presents itself. The only problem is i enjoy the pilot lifestyle way too much!
