AC Furlough numbers

Post by wingnhut »

Does anybody know how many AC Pilots are still out of work, if any? I know Jazz will recall all by the fall.

From 29chev's post I think you could guess that 27 have come back and there are 139 to go yet.

Jazz should be hiring new-hires by mid- to end-summer. Source is a CRJ Training Captain. Apparently the training department is busting at the seems right now.

Jees guys, I have been saying that for the last number of months, don't you read all of the other posts.

Jazz is saying that they should be interviewing by early summer, the next bid comes out in July, then we will see how many of the furloughed pilots are coming back...........where the additional 8 CJ's are going to be based.......where the new crews are going to end up, etc,etc........

Pratt,

I know this, after sitting in the Pilot pool at Jazz since just before 9/11 and after regularly staying in touch with them as to my placement I found out through another post that the pool has been disolved  . I have not checked with them directly but I thought given that I have been hearing mainline is to start outside hiring either late this fall or at the beginning of 2006. Mainlines starting pay is better than Jazz's and if I have to go through all the process's again it may as well be for mainline. 8)

Thanks for the numbers

A bird in the hand is better than 2 in the bush. I don't hear anything other than rumour about AC expansion whereas the Jazz expansion will be happening.

If the rumours turn out to be true, there will be considerable hiring at the mainline but until it is on the ramp, painted in your colours and your about to do the before start check, don't believe it.

slowstream, I heard that about the hiring pool being disolved, it certainly does suck for those who have been in it for awhile and hoping that counted for something having your resume in there for quite awhile.

Best of luck.
