That looks like a great little film. VNY is a great airport to visit if you have the opportunity. There is some great history there.

I did find it slightly cheesy with the pirated movie soundtracks. But I'd like to see the movie when it's available.

Thanks

What's an aviation movie without a drunk, skirt chasing pilot?

Seriously, I quit watching aviation movies when I heard about the baby faced :wallbash: faggot that got the lead role in the Howard Hughes flick... What a shame...

Wow. Where did you fuel a Utva? What model? They've manufactured everything from figters to agricultural spray aircraft. The air force over there uses them as trainers.

Great stuff.

BTW someone should give aviation a restraining order from hollywood. They've created a lot of myths. A lot of the movies are full of crap; it's all for thrills and consequently ticket sales.

Someone should make an aviation movie for the IMAX. That would be awesome.

It was in Brandon Mb a few years back it was a tail dragger highwing kinda like a C-180 with the window in the back that could be opened to accomadate a strecher/litter patient.

Utva-66, looks kinda like a L-19/C-305 on steroids, it was originaly an observer. i saw one in CZAM a year ago, looked like it would be a good bushplane or bird dog. realy liked the hatch back

I wonder how they got the plane over here?

My personal favorite is the Utva 75. Looks like a 2nd class Cherokee, and when flown by the Air Force it carries armaments. Not much, but still...kind of strange to see.

I also felt like it was a ripoff of show tunes from other flicks... then I saw the Pitts taxi from behind... I had to watch that segment again! 8)

Hey, thanks for the link linecrew.

A couple of years ago I watched a Formula 1 movie at the Vancouver Science World, and it was awesome.
For like five minutes after the movie I wanted to be a Formula 1 driver. Imagine all the pooni and the money those guys get. Then I realized, I couldn't drive one of those cars if I was Bernie Ecclestone's son; it takes skill to drive one those things.
That's how I decided to be a pilot. All the speed, sans the money and consequently sans the pooni.

I hope they show the abovementioned movie at the Science World here. I think they had something last year regarding the 100 years of flight, but I was out of town
