Well if you compare Harbour Air to a company of comparable size like West Coast Air, you would probably find that Harbour Air burns less fuel, as they use single engine DHC-3’s for the same routes that West Coast Air uses its twin engine DHC-6’s for.

As for their claim of being Carbon Neutral, it has something to do with buying carbon credits, or “carbon offsetters”. I think all that really means is they are essentially donating money for research on energy efficient projects. I would be lying if I said I understood exactly how this works, but they explain it on their website.
