Famous people?

I was once on the same JG flight as Preston Manning...that's as close as I've come.

Please don't tell my mother that I work in the Oilpatch...she still thinks that I'm the piano player at a whorehouse.

I flew that guy Ronco?? you know that guy who sells all that crap on late night TV- like juicers and dehydrators and Guinsu knives etc. --Ron Popeil- I think his name is--- anyways he was about 60 years old and had a 19 yr old chick on his arm. He gave me a tip after the flight-- a can of spray on hair- the shiiite didnt even work.

Oh yeah, i also flew the Mayor of Kuujuarapic PQ. somewhere. ( he said he was the mayor anyway).

I flew Sir Anthony Hopkins down to somewhere warm a few years back, he was really nice.

I also flew Natasha Henstridge (sp?), the star of the movie "Species" in the middle of the night so she could make some modelling photoshoot. She was also quiet and polite.

Last, but not least, I flew our current PM a few years ago, back before he was PM. My first words to him were "Hello Mr. M, the weather here is great, it's also great at our destination which is 35 minutes away". His piggy eyes squinted at me from behind his glasses.
"I prefer to be called Minister M."
We didn't talk much after that. I got a little bit of satisfaction at the end of the day, when I was dropping him off at some small airport where he was spending the night. As he exited the airplane he sorta leaned over and a stick of deodorant fell outta his suit and onto the ramp, breaking into a couple of pieces. I offered to collect them for him, and he looked embarassed as he walked away.

My favorite passengers were the lab rats I used to fly from the rat farm to the university (where they lead happy, healthy lives I'm sure). They were always polite.

Flew Preston Manning on a tour of the North in the late 80's. He was a great guy. Treated us like gold and had a ton of integrity. One of the few politicians that was truly committed to the good of the country, not padding his personal nest.

The average pilot, despite the somewhat swaggering exterior, is very much capable of such feelings as love, affection, intimacy and caring.
These feelings just don't involve anyone else.
