Why the f##k would you want to confirm this on avcanada? Check the notams.

NOTAMs read 25 March 2010 midnight local time all restrictions on the airspace lifted.

But a recent email from PFC management states:

Effective Midnight March 12, 2010 (that’s March 13 for all intents and purposes), WE’RE BACK TO NORMAL. YEP, THAT’S RIGHT – BUSINESS AS USUAL. NO RESTRICTIONS, STUDENT SOLO ALLOWED, NO NEED FOR THOSE OLYMPIC MAPS…..

Why don't the Para-Olympics warrant the same "security considerations" as the regular Olympics?

Less risk of a terrorist attacking the opening ceremonies for the paraolympics and injuring or crippling a mass number of people?

No trees were harmed in the transmission of this message. However, a rather large number of electrons were temporarily inconvenienced.

My guess is they ran out of money to pay for security.

After over a half a century of flying no one ever died because of my decision not to fly.

Or the bottom line really is that they just put in the para olympics as a formality but deep down don't really care about it... at least not enough to spend another 900 million dollars on security...

The whole world is against Terrorists. If they were to bomb the Olympics, thats one thing. But if they want the whole world marching up their a$$es, all they need to do is bomb the para olympics.

Even Bin Laden is sitting in his board room in a cave somewhere saying "Oh Abdul, I like your idea, but honestly... what are we going to gain by bombing legless Johnny?"

these attacks are publicity stunts to assist them in gaining momentum. Its a trade off, and bombing the Para Olympics is not going to work out in their favor, so it wont be done. They have nothing by an ass whooping coming their way for doing so.

What could be worse then maiming and crippling the crippled and maimed?

So, skyboy, how was it?

I'm hoping to fly tomorrow, and I've successfully confused myself with the contradiction in PFC's message versus the NOTAMs.
