I'm also curious... do you pretty much require an MIFR before applying to Northwright?

Well let us use our thinking caps here. If 100 pilots apply to Northwright, and 95 of them have multi-IFRs, and Northwright has to hire one person, would you not want the guy with at least the multi-ifr? They fly multi-engine aircraft in IMC, the job market is super-saturated, and although you could bomb around in their 172 without the MIFR, you'll be at a serious competitive disadvantage on paper. Not only would the multi-ifr be an extremely good idea, a float rating would probably help as well.

Versatility and ability will be extremely helpful to you in this competitive environment.
