Near as I can tell co-pilots drink a better grade of ale than the F/O.

Pilot/Co-Pilot = The old school way

Captain/FO = The modern professional way (the way it should be)

I once heard a guy tell it, that if the a/c always needs 2 crew, its Capt/Fo, if its flown single pilot but has second pilot for IFR only, or certain contracts than its pilot/co-pilot. oh yeah he was explaing it to a chick in a bar.

Some of you guys would get a real hard on if you were flying in Britian because they call the pilot "the Aircraft Commander" over there.

Who really cares what you are known as as long as the pay is what you want.

Yeh, but there is a downside to that description.

Even a Cessna 150 pilot is refeered to as "The Aircraft Commander " I get a real charge out of that when reading their accident reports.

Can you imagine the impression you could make in a bar with some young innocent female using that description of yourself? especially if she likes a little discipline??? :D Sounds real macho... :D
