FA or CSA?? Which is better for a Mom???

Post by area »

Hi,
Can anyone shed some light on what would be a suitable and a more flexible career between a Flight Attendant or a Customer Service Agent at the airport. I'm in the process of interviewing for both and having a hard time deciding what would be a better choice because I have 2 children that are my first priority. Does anyone know what its like being a junior in either position, in regards to scheduling and bidding. Please help, I'm really stuck.

Well first of all it depends on what airline. Scheduling is quite different depending on who you work for. Plus some airlines are far more accommodating of external stuff than others.

If you want to be at home with your kids everyday; CSA is your better bet. As an FA you're going to end up on the road periodically unless it's a short hop regional type airline.

You might get better understanding of both jobs if you ask your question there:
