the last time i checked the pilot of the 310 decided not to check his trims of three and took off with his rudder trim full left and decided that he had an engine failure after rotation without checking his guages confirming it and landed belly only on the remaining runway with a big red face

Skyward is scheduled to be in Court of Queen's Bench on Tuesday 29-Mar-2005 at 1000hrs. Perhaps more will be known after that hearing.
All you underemployed Skyward people might want to go down and sit in (entrance off York Avenue). You'll then know first-hand what is happening!

Localizer, you should think a little bit about what you wrote. The Green Machine flies more flight hours on any given day than any other carrier in MB. In saying this, with the extremely few incidents they have had, only shows how good their maintenance is. Along with this, as of late I don't recall any "gear problems" or "engine shutdowns" leading to any injuries, deaths, bankruptcies, or landings on Logan!
Please re-analyze your posts.
P.S. Skyward as an airline is finnished as we know it, but good luck to all of you who are still in limbo with the job situation!

Q ..
You need to read my post again .. I don't believe I attacked Perimeters mant. I was just making a point about how we all have problems in one way, shape, or form. From the one airplane C-182 float outfitt all the way to the majors. Perimeter has there issues .. just like everyone else .. and I don't think its right for the few on here to make themselves (Perimeter) out to be examples for all of us to follow.
Q .. your another 1 or 2 time poster .. huh .. seems to be a lot of them in this thread .. go figure ..
Surprised this thing has gone on as long as it has ..

DAY 58
Copy and paste the file number CI05-01-41576 into the court registry HERE.
There are a lot of financial institutions lining up! See if you can sort out the players.

Never had the pleasure of working for Skyward. Met most of the key people over time though.Go Guns wrote:Are you sure you're not a laid off Skyward employee? You seem to have a lot of free time....
Maybe more than most pilots, my job is a lot of "hurry up and wait". As they say, "hours of boredom punctuated by moments of sheer terror".

I have to admit a degree of vicarious curiousity how a company, seemingly doing so well, could fall so far, so quickly, so quietly.
The public, if they ever knew, no longer care. As I predicted, for the most part the employees appear to have drifted off, not looking back. The vultures are at the door, fighting over pecking order.
But I am obviously not alone; 500 posts and approaching 50,000 views represents a lot of lurkers.
But Skyward is not alone - I think a lot of smaller companies are nearer the brink than people know.

Corporate pilot makes a very interesting observation and he is not alone...

and as to this one...
" Actually, Corporate Pilot is a Pilot-Wannabe. From what I understand, he doesn't fly commercially..only recreationally...yes, he has lots of free time on his hands "
One does not need to be a coroporate pilot to wonder why a company the size of Skyward went down so fast and no one seems to know exactly why.
In fact not being a pilot may be in his favour because he may not may have the tunnel vision so prevalant among pilots when it comes to matters such as this one.
Just my thoughts on this...

The hardest thing about flying is knowing when to say no
After over a half a century of flying no one ever died because of my decision not to fly.

Hey man, it's easy. They got caught. For a LONG time they broke the rules so constantly... They just got complacent. They didn't even bother to hide it from Transport. Now they're outa business. It's a simple business, aviation. Find a niche, do it right, make money. Skyward did 2 out of 3, until they got shut down. Simple as that. One does not need to be a coroporate pilot to wonder why a company the size of Skyward went down so fast and no one seems to know exactly why.
