Phenom 100

Post by YVRtoYYZ »

Any type-rated Canadian pilots there or owner/acft management companies in Canada currently familiar with the acft?

Already familiar with many of the Phenom-related websites. However, there is very little information available surrounding Canadian operators.

Here's a couple of pictures and short reference to N308MJ on a pilot's blog outlining the delivery of N600PB (about half way down).

The Phenom 300 (N308MJ) was painted in Flight Options colours that you see there, but was rejected by them due to the interior not meeting Flight Options requirements/standards. They decided to take the aircraft for now for training/demo purpose. They have ordered the rest of the Phenon 300's without the interior and will install it themselves.
They have orders for 100 and options for 50 more. They start getting 2 per month starting in September until they replace their fleet of Beechjets.
A press release from Flight Options is due out next week for the launch of the Phenom 300 fractional program.

Are you familiar enough to elaborate whether the later production and EIS of the P300 has benefited with better quality-control from many of P100's early problems (Brake failures, flap failures, improvised remedies (pulling the CB), numerous CAS messages, pressurization failures, etc.).

I recognize that both acft are independent clean-sheet designs, but use similar technology and moreso, the same parts suppliers (for example, Eaton with the flaps).

I have not had a chance to talk to any of the pilots in the Phenom 300 program and don't have any info on the growing pains that the Phenom 100 is going through.

What I do know is that Flight Options feels that the Phenom 300 is going to be a game changer since it was designed and built to meet the flying demands of the fractional industry. We put over a 1100 hours a year on each airframe and work them hard. We expect growing pains as well but are able to recover any down aircraft with others types in our fleet.

http://jetaviva.blogspot.com/ They deal mostly Mustangs and Phenom's,
so far have handled 3 Mustang sales for Canadians.

They can answer most, if not all, Phenom questions.
