Stock?

How many shares of a company would you need to own/purchase. Before you could vote/demand the board hires you as a pilot?

It's probably cheaper to save up your $30,000 for JetsGo.

I have some almost worthless Air Canada shares if you want to buy. Own a portion of aviation history!!!

LoL.. $1/share.. Not a bad deal..

But seriously.. Somewhere like WestJet, where they have employee profit sharing and stock options.

Instead of starting as a pilot and then becoming a shareholder.. You start off as the shareholder and then you get Employee sharing and become a pilot?

Well, I think if you want to have some right to dictate (and I am not an economist), you need 50% plus one share of a company. But I think we are now defining what is commonly referred to as a "hostile takeover." Besides, if you own that much of Westjet, to be a gear puller on an NG is aiming pretty low. :D
