Freelance Instructor for Night Rating at Barrie/Springwater
Does anyone know of a freelance instructor that I can use to get my night rating with using my plane? It's a Stinson 108-3 based out of Barrie/Springwater during the summer. I'd like to make my night flying legal this year.
Any referrals would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Jim

Give National Flyers Academy a call or come in for a visit, we're there a lot of the time and we could do your rating on your plane with you at CNA3.
(if the lights ever get fixed!) We'd have to do a bit of flying out of Lake Simcoe Reg (CNB9) most likely.

There's a few free lance instructors out there, but they're really hard to find usually.

I did speak to the guys there last summer, before I had the anticollision light installed on the Stinson and the only tailwheel instructor was Tony. He seemed too busy with his regular day job, ground school classes and other students. The other instructors seemed interested if I was to supply my plane for them to get a tail wheel endorsment so that they could in turn instruct me.
I wasn't too keen on that. Is there anyone else there now that is tailwheel current?

Definatly Give Future Air a call. Ask for Jose. His number is 705-446-1139
I have been flying with him for the last 4 years, (ever since I was just an abinitio and now Im finishing off my instructor rating) and have never had a problem.
Hairy man doesn't know what he's talking about.
