Since a lot of my friends who I've worked with through the years know my handle on here, figured this would be a good way to spread the word. After a few months of unemployment (with some contract work mixed in) I am happy to report Cap'n P8 is back on the payroll full time, all be it with a new company). Also want to say thanks to quite a few people on here (many of whom I do not know personally) who passed along leads, it was very much appreciated!

Well congratulation even though I have no idea who the hell you are. Just glad to see people getting jobs again.

Well, I had the pogey paperwork all filled out, but between my severance and contract work I was lucky enough not to need it. Best of luck to all those still on the hunt.

Congrats! (if it's a decent job)

And my advice now is to start preparing for the next time you'll be unemployed. Preparation is essential to a good ride on the pogey train. You missed this one, but there's always another comin' around the bend.
