Cargojet Caravan Pay

Post by vrrotate »

As the subject says, anyone know the pay structure for Caravan Captain at Cargojet/PEAir? Also can you bid on say the jets at Cargojet after flying the 208 or 1900's?

And yes I probably will apply and ask these and other questions to the employer if given the opportunity but I would like to know a little more going into it.

Thanks

If you can survive on it, I think a lot of people will be impressed, myself included... it's that low.

Was wondering about that too? Do the regional drivers upgrade to the Jets or is it part of a different company?

Don't actually expect to take it from there. You can expect there to be a pay freeze for eternity.

You're supposed to be able to get onto the jets from regional. (While you're at it, don't call it regional either, it's Prince Edward Air). Don't bet on getting to the jets though. That brand new caravan F/O they hired will be first inline before you 4000hr 1900 captains for the back seat or the right seat of a jet because his number is better than yours.

If you can make yourself happy working 5 days a week 17 hrs a day and never expect an upgrade then go for it.

They don't upgrade? 17 hours per day? Not exactly what I have heard. Can you fill me in a bit more on working conditions?

typical avcanada mis-information posted here.
believe none of what you hear, only half of what you see.
looking for real info, PM me.

bottom line, waaaaay worse places/conditions to work.

the most important things people that have been involved in the 3 acquisitions/partnerships have forgotten is this:

1) this isn't the company you used to work for (for better/for worse, like it or not)
2) it is seniority based, (refer to point 1)
3) what you may have been promised by your management pre-acquisition is not the problem of your new management. (refer to point 1)
4) NO company is perfect. (refer to point 1)
5) get over it (refer to point 1-4)

Still didn't here the caravan pay? Also, how much movement happens at peair or cargojet? I know that it is subject to many things in the industry, but do pilots like to stick with the company?
