Well I can tell you everytime I go there or over fly that wonderful country I have never had an issue with the french pilots or ATC. Unless they give you a SAFA check, french is no concern.

Aviation has lots of one word declarative calls like Roger, Afirmative, Looking, WILCO etc etc...... maybe we need a word which means " Please OMG pleeeeeeaasssse shut up as you are tying up the radio with your moronic transmision" . The idea being you could say the call sign of the offender and the word and her/she would understand what they were doing and cease making stupid transmissions...... I nominate STOOFOO (STFU). Anybody got any other suggestions ?

It almost seems that there's a lot of guys out there who are a little bent out of shape that they've been left out of a great inside joke/tradition.

Since a couple of years, I can feel over conversations out of the job with collegues that the're proud of their achivements and remember that they didn't get much help when they where really in the hole, especially from the richer provinces so now they remember and they're gonna make us pay for it. Mining and off-shore plattforms will make them over the next years the most profitable province in Canada. When I tease them over their intentions of separatism, they smile with the blink of an eye. I witnessed that quite of few times.... and now here comes Old Harry... far from being over.
