How long can a US registered Plane stay in Canada?
How long can a US registered Plane stay in Canada before it is required to be registered in Canada?
I'm a dual citizen, I've got addresses in both countries. I spend most of my time in Canada but I'm back and fourth at least 1-2 times per year, it would be probably about 6 times/yr if I get a plane.
Purchasing in the US can save me tens of thousands now that our dollar is close to par.

90 days out of 360 max, consecutive/ not consecutive doesn't matter. Because you are a dual citizen it throws a wrench into it though, since your here more than there would say you are a resident of Canada there for 90 of 360 or you pay the import taxes
and of course re register it.

Get a float plane... they'll probably never notice it sitting at your dock for years!
No trees were harmed in the transmission of this message. However, a rather large number of electrons were temporarily inconvenienced.

Once upon a time...
There was also some deal where the the US Registered A/C could only fly from the US to Canada and then one other Canadian destination before having to land back in the US. (This may have been the case because I was Canadian, flying a US Registered Plane with a Canadian and American license)
I'm not sure if it still works this way.
Just FYI.

How likley is it anyone will ever know? You could always just say you go back and forth all the time.

I guess no one remembers the guy with the L39 in Alberta that was fined one million bucks for not importing his airplane a couple years ago.
Friends of mine were crucified by Transport on the east coast for operating a polish-registered AN-2. That fine was only $50,000.

Indefinately if the owner resides in Canada. If the aircraft is part 91, the owner would have to have a majority shareholding in an American based company.
