flight instructor rating
Can anyone recommend an instructor rating course in New Brunswick (besides MFC), Nova Scotia or the Vancouver area?
Thanks!
Thanks!
Re: flight instructor rating
My opinion is probably biased, as I now work for them after completing my rating here, but I recommend Alex Denham at Pacific Rim Aviation in Pitt Meadows. Class act, no surprises on the test, training to a high standard.

Where abouts in NB are you? If you're close enough to the NB/NS border, I would highly recommend seeing Stu Fairchild in Debert. He's probably trained more instructors and did more flight tests than anyone I know. At Debert, you'll get the one-on-one attention that you would never get at MFC.

Alex is THE, and I repeat, THE guy to do your rating with if you're out in Vancouver. Heck I would even recommend you flying across the nation to do it with him, for he teaches you some things that simply goes beyond your expectations. Oh, and a young fellow too. Very smart and informative for his age.

Thank you all for your responses. This was all very useful.

I highly recommend Alex Denham at Pacific Rim Aviation as well. I'm just finishing up the Class 4 rating. Alex has a real passion for his students success and has a high standard of training. You wont go wrong!

If you are still thinking of coming to Vancouver I would highly recommend Ron Reynolds at SkyQuest Aviation in Langley, which is about a 40 minute drive east of Vancouver. He is very knowledgeable and very well respected in the industry here in the lower mainland.
Thanks to his high standard of training I found the class 4 ride as well as the interview and transition to training real students at my first job very easy.
Also SkyQuest is at CYNJ which has a grass runway as well as a rather short paved runway (2100ft). So flying in and out of CYNJ was in its self a very useful learning experience.
