Workin on the side
Hey,
Anyone else doing other jobs on the side of aviation? I am dying to get involved in something else, just don't have a clue as to what. What are you guys/gals into?

lotta guys in construction... we had an independent roofing contractor, a licensed electrician, a plumber, a drywaller, all we needed to do was hire a framer and I could have built a house

Construction pays pretty well too. I work about half as long and make the same amount.

Why not let the pilots fly 160 hrs a month instead of 80 !!! Would still be less than what the AMEs work
Re: Workin on the side
Only 1 post mentions flying and working elsewhere at the same time, the rest are what they do in the off season.AME 283 wrote:Now let me get this straight, there are too many duty time limits imposed to keep pilots safe in the air, but what I am hearing is that instead of resting you are working second jobs ??
Did I get this right ?

Logging flight hours is not like punching a time-card for your 173.3 hours a month.AME 283 wrote:
