I am familiar with the system in which you can pay the fees associated with the renewal of a Aviation Medical by credit card.
I am wondering whether the option also exists to pay the fees associated with the issuance of a rating on-line or by telephone by credit card, when the applicant is not presenting himself in person at a Transport Canada office?

Re: Payment of Transport Canada fees
I faced this one today actually. Apparently you can call TC and ask them to pay for the rating which should cost about $30. Once you pay for if over the phone by credit card, you need the receipt number. Whoever is signing off your rating needs the receipt number to be on file so as to match the application with the correct payment.
I am unaware of being able to pay those fees online.

Re: Payment of Transport Canada fees
Every TC office is suppose to collect fees via telephone or tell you what the finance department number is to call (thinking about some of the smaller offices and not the main ones). If you are doing a ride with a TC Inspector they should have at least 2 phone numbers for the appropriate office. If you call one of the TCC offices there should be a main office number for general inquiries and ask the person to provide you with the phone number. Once you get the proper phone number they will ask you what is the payment for and some general information and it is very important that they give you a receipt number, copy that number down and tell them to mail you the receipt. You will need it if asked, as an example when I conduct check rides I provide the phone number for finance office and tell them to call and tell them what you are paying for and then to call me or email me the receipt number, and I tell them that the ride report will sit in my desk until I get the number.
