VedaloHD sunglasses

Post by Oldnrusted »

Anyone tried them? Is it just hype or are they worth the extra coin?

Any tips or info appreciated.

Bought a pair in April and have been extremely happy with them. Really light, great optics, and the bands work fantastic under the headset. I was trying to find a pair of sunglasses that were similar to the maui jims, but without the polarized lenses and the 300 price tag. They are a little different than the ray bans I had before and took some getting used to. The bands keep tight and don't slip, a problem I had with other glasses. I paid around 175 for mine. Enjoy the sunny hunt!

I'm pretty "meh" about them. They definitely make colours pop and the optics are very nice but I find the arms no better under the headset than any other pair and I find I don't like them too much in cloudy conditions. The best pair I've ever had for flying are my Serengeti's. I can wear them in any light from bright sunlight to full overcast. I bought my Serengeti's at Costco for $110, great deal.

Cheers,
Chax

Thank you!

Just curious, which color glass did you use?

I prefer the brown/copper colour because I find them better is lower light situations. I've never tried the grey ones but maybe they're better.

i have to agree about the copper/brown serengeti's...bought a "higher" end model about 7 years ago and i use them under all lighting conditions and they are awesome. haven't had the need to upgrade ever since.
