Turbine operating cost?

Post by MUSICMAAN »

I'm curious as to the operating cost per hour of a Turbo Beaver, Turbo Otter, and the Caravan in a float operation. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanx in advance,

MM

Hey, I'm working on the dock for Transwest right now, and I was told the twin burns up to 600 lbs/hr, turbo otter 400-450lbs/hr and turbo beaver 300 lbs/hr. Those aren't exact numbers but it's something like that. So regional fuel prices and then paying flight crew/maintenance on top of that gives you an idea anyway but I'm just a dock monkey.

MM,

I've got no experience with turbines, but here's a report on the operating cost of a King Air. You're asking a pretty general question, so maybe it will meet your needs for figuring out turbine costs. But note its seven years old.

Or there's this site that seems to identify the variable costs for turboprops, including your Otters, Beaver and Caravan.

Cheers.
