they will add additional capacity /aircraft to to cymm market as conditions warrant , i wish jake and the crew all the best and if jake 's track record in business is any indication it bodes well for all in that niche . 8)

He was a great guy. The stories he used to tell should have been put in a book. Actually, come to think of it, some young guy should go make a tour of the airstrips in Canada and put pen to paper and write a book. The things that go on even now in our "PC" era with the stunts pilots pull on each other [and their passengers] would crack you up.

Of course the names would have to be changed to protect the "innocent".

Noralta acquired Little Red Air Service in 03 or 04 (I forget, I left in 02); experience B200 operator, I agree. Experienced with gas plant and oilfield exploration = very little if at all! Their mainstay at that time was Medevac as well as flying in support of the Little Red River Cree Nation. They slowly removed themselves ( were forced!!) from any affiliation with LRCN and built their awesome hangar in CYOJ.

Most companies associated with oilfield business originate from cities not located in the north...anyone knows that.

I don't how many people have said this, but until they get rid of "the last man standing" they do not have any hope of ever getting back in business.

The problem is, he reports directly to the MGC (Mikisew Group of Companies) and tells them what they want to hear; everyone else is wrong and he is right. I have dealt with First Nations before and it takes a talented person to make it work.

The last audit team was even brought in from out of region to show dilligence and fairness. Don't get me wrong, I am not a big fan of TC, but over time, I have had the pleasure of dealing with some awesome guys there and we always found a way to make it work. So the "out of region team" came in for another review and NONE of the findings had been addressed and, in fact, found something like a dozen more findings.

Unless someone can get though to the board of directors of MGC, and that has to be someone they once and still trust, Mikisew is done.

Wonder who is going to buy those black-marked airplanes.... I would guess that who ever takes one is going to have to jump through hoops to get it online and flyable in TC's eyes, even if it is in good shape.

Curious thing: There is a 703 AOC and AMO for sale in the marketplace, from a person that just started an account yesterday, and no real meat to the ad... I don't knw how to link it here though...

Wonder if the AOC and AMO are in Fort McMurray... maybe it is going really cheap...

Or maybe I'm just seeing conspiracies...

I wonder if Mcmurray Aviation will pick up another Caravan amphib? The j31, if it ever fly's again maybe NWAL or Sawnberg? Lots of people will probably be interested in a cheap 200, and 1900. I imagine the 185 will be sold privately. The 99 (Borek for parts??), PA31's (one of the operators on the coast?), 206, and 207 I can't even guess who would want those, but I suppose if the price is right.
I can't imagine any of those planes will be worth much though, cept for maybe that 1900.
