Thanks for that. Interesting for sure...

I worked on a couple of 727s for Air Gemini, the other Angolan carrier mentioned in the story. Our experience with the customer rep pretty much confirmed the T.I.A. principle was alive and well even though we were in Canada.

An unknown B727 crashed in Mali last year and is quite possibly the missing N844AA.
The UN or NTSB/FAA have never released any further information on the identity of the aircraft???
