MNR Interviews

Post by Lost Lake »

Just wondering if anyone has been contacted yet for their hiring pool, as posted in August. I understand they are waiting til the end of the season to start the interviews.

No one has been notified yet. Apparently interviews for the 415 jobs should start late October.

Is the October interviews including those ads they posted in June/July for the "Hiring Pool" on the 415, King Air, Twotter and Beaver as well?

Let me get this straight guys... I applied a few months ago for the RP CL415 job and got a reply that the selection had been cancelled... are they automatically putting us all in a hiring pool?
I have bags of float time and Twin Otter time...
Do I have to reapply?? This is starting to get confusing...
Thanks,

They canceled the original job posting and then re-posted it sometime in July, that meant you had to resubmit your resume. Not sure anyone has been contacted for interviews yet.

Interviews will be held last week of October for the 415 Captain/Copilot jobs only. All others will be held at a later date depending on vacancies. Apparently all interview candidates will be notified within the next few days.

They cancelled the original job ad from last spring and re-bid all the positions in June with a closing date of mid July. Those applications are where the interview selection will take place. No one gets automatically put in a hiring pool.

Hope this helps!

Thanks for the info.... so that is nice... you take the time to send everythign in to them, you get a email telling you the selection is cancelled and then you repost it later.... I gathered from the selection cancelled email that NO hiring was going to take place.. I mean after all that is why you cancel because there are no job openings... in my mid age life I failed to see the reposting... I guess it would make too much sense to keep all the original applications and just go from there...
Darn it, and here I thought I coudl visit my cousin in Summer Beaver Ontario next summer while flying the CL415!!!
Thanks guys,

Anything new? I guess the fire season is being extended due to the dry fall and interviews are delayed?

Interviews are the last week of October and as far as I know everyone selected for interviews for the CL-415 Captain and Co-Pilot jobs have been notified.

So... How have the interviews been going? Any news yet on who will be the anointed ones?

I know I shouldn't care but I do. Please PM me when the announcements are made.

Thanks DR

You would think they would have sent out letters or emails of interest to qualified applicants. I think aviation is the only industry I know that assumes applicants have nothing better to do than sit around and hope. Would it be too difficult to post a small note in the employment section with a statement to the likes of, Tks for your resumes. We are currently interviewing for X position. Further interviews for other positions will be arranged at such and such time. It was my impression in talking to a senior pilot that they were going to be quite short handed in the coming months. If they were going to wait so long, why not post the request now, at the end of the float season.

Oh well, welcome to the new employment generation. Glad I only have a few years left.

Once you submit your resume they (auto) send you a 'thank-you' with a link that will allow you to follow up on the progress of the application - is this not enough when combined with "thank but only selected applicants will be contacted' ?

So now have all the positions been interviewed already or is there still to be some more going on? I've seen quite a bit of training going on at various bases so I assume the positions have been filled by now...

Oops, no auto thank you letter. I guess ATPL, 5,000 hr, 4,000 floats with Dhc-6f time is under qualified

They are interviewing for the Twin Otter jobs this month. So if you haven't gotten a call and received no auto-reply for submitting your resume. Then I guess you didn't submit it properly. Better Luck next round!

Since I am a nice guy here is the Job ad and thank you letter link you should have received. So far they haven't hired, but "selection process" is on going.
