Damn cel phones!
Disclaimer: What follows is more of SSU's primal scream therapy.
Ok, I've had it with people who cannot separated from these monstrosities! What the hell is wrong with people? The next time a student decides that answering the phone is more important than controlling the airplane - I'm going to throw the phone out the window. The next time It gets answered in the middle of mine or one of my instructor's briefings I'm going to smash it with a ball-peen! The next one who answers it in the middle of ground school can sit in the corner and figure out how to get it out of that place where the sun don't shine! You've been WARNED!
You know what? The world worked just fine before you had that little gizmo that for some reason plays jingle bells in April! YOU'RE NOT THAT IMPORTANT!
Jeebus! I mean what's so hard about being courteous to your fellow humans?

You must be joking!
"The ability to ditch an airplane in the Hudson does not qualify a pilot for a pay raise. The ability to get the pilots, with this ability, to work for 30% or 40% pay cuts qualifies those in management for millions in bonuses."

It may be that its difficult on the cell companies, although I heard that they've rectified the problem. Anyways, it should have no bearing in the CARs, since it's a cell phone company problem, not aviation safety.Redneck_pilot86 wrote:Is there a CAR about not using cells in the air cuz it hops from tower to tower and it makes it harder for you to be charged? I heard that somewhere but I forget where.

So here you go then, from another forum:
Stick your cell phone up yur @@s as far as I'm concerned:
Post subject:
The best thing about holding the power of being a check pilot is that you can flunk someone right away if you don't like the guy.
Skill doesn't matter because they usually don't get any farther than trying to close the door on the plane and then it's flunk time because the candidate didn't do a "proper" briefing before the door got closed.
If the guy is nice but smells funny it's better to flunk the guy in the hold or the NDB approach because then he won't have much of a leg to stand on when he goes to the Tribunal because it's his word against yours and you will probably lose anyways. Besides, even if you win it just gets referred back for reconsideration and then you lose again.
So it doesn't matter if TC guys are losers, they hold your nuts, your career, your future and your life in a bag and you know it. So watch out what you say. TC has ways of finding out who you are.!!

Boy do you have a lot to learn about being a peeelot. How do you think I keep from surrendering to the boredom when I'm out flying survey for hours on end?peeelot wrote:Shitdisturber I understand where you are comming from. But when you are in the aircraft flying you should be paying attention to the stick in front of you on the one between your legs.
