Hmmm, quite the political rant, and I actually agree with him;

Like other posters have stated they wanna play rough, close down are airspace to there flights. You think it's annoying for a Challenger to have to divert around a country the size of Maine. Try planning flights to the US while not being able to fly over the second largest country in the world :lol:

Do we really need to deal with these Saudi terrorists?

I think our troops will be safer in some other country.

I would prefer they use Termez in Southern Uzbekistan, where the Germans operate.

I do have to kinda wonder....

If the UAE is gonna be all pissy and 5 yr old about this - as apparently they are, it can't bode well for those aerospace companies in Canada with contracts with the Abu Dhabi military...

Looks like the UAE has fired another salvo in this dispute.

As of January 2, 2011, Canadians arriving as tourists or business visitors to the UAE will no longer be able to get a free visa-on-arrival. They will now need to apply for a visa at their nearest UAE Consulate prior to travel.

So I guess the UAE has proved that greater air service between Canada and UAE really is not necessary!

Hey PJ, where does this info come from. I will be travelling through Dubai a lot over the next couple years or so. I could use some more info on this.

And so do I. Looks like will have to look for a better, and most hospitable place to spend my dollars. I hated the place anyway, since the last time I went through during Ramadan. Sh*t! even Af is more tolerant...I prefer to go through Iran! :shock:
