We're only against the bad cops (about 30% of the force - and most of the other have to play along with the game...or else)

Back on topic, it surprises me that the story appeared in the Toronto Star, a publication which in the past appeared to cater exclusively to the downtown Toronto Starbucks crowd that attends the U of T ... or are graduates of the Department of Cuban Studies, or maybe those fun-loving members of the Chairman Mao Frat house.

That rag is likely the way most foreign operatives are fed their secret encrypted messages.

Any story which sends any kind of positive message about our emergency services personnel is exceptionally out of character for the Star ... it would be the same as our resident cop-haters actually making a fair and balanced presentation about police .... oh, sure ... like thats going to happen ... ever.

Dash your statement would carry a little more weight if, just for once, you posted an article similar to the one I linked to.

Foggy I was somewhat surprised at the source also. It's not something one usually associates with the NDP house organ. I lifted the link from Charles Adler's FB page as you're aware, but it was also featured on Pierre Bourque's blog.

I hope he enjoyed his retirement. The life span of a fire fighter (and a cop....) is short compared to other professions.

Judging by the article (if you choose to believe the article) he lived a good life.
