Sunwest and 705?
I have heard that Sunwest is expanding to 705 with the addition of a Dash 8. Sould be exciting times.

...and every time they resurface SW management vehemently denies their validity. Something to do with getting kicked squarely in the nuts over the tier 3 thing they had with Canadian. When the blue team became the red team SW had to figure out what to do with a fleet of Metro 23's. Or something like that.
They also don't have the hangar space for anything like a Dash so operating one means leasing a hangar, training/hiring maintenance. It might happen but it's a huge move for them.

Sunwest does alot of subcharter work with other operators Dashs on the field. Makes sense to get thier own
But what baffles me is how can so many operators start aquiring larger aircraft all of a sudden to feed the in exaustable demand for the oil sands man power? What if the market tanks again. Alot of iron sitting around doing a whole bunch of nothing.
Kowalski: Sir, we may be out of fuel.
Skipper: What makes you think that?
Kowalski: We've lost engine one, and engine two is no longer on fire.
