Visa required for UAE
For anyone considering working at EK, EY or FlyDubai;
If you get called for an interview, the UAE will require all Canadians to get a visa prior to entering the UAE as of Jan 2 , 2011. Heads up about UAE and paperwork, they are as good at it as they are at negotiating Canadian landing rights. Speaks volumes about this place.
Good luck to anyone who wants to come out! EK still needs about 900 crew in the next year.

Just like the old days.
If EK want you over for an interview, they'll have your visit visa in hand when you come off the flight.
No sweat.
The only hassle over this issue will be visitors and business men.
Sounds llike EK are prepared to have residence visas issued to all their Canadian Employees.

Can you reference an official source of this information please? The same topic is making the rounds on PPRune but there is some doubt as to its validity. A link to a government website or credible news organization, something like that.
Not that I doubt the UAE pulling something like this, they really are that stupid, backward, petty, etc etc...just haven't seen anything definitive on this bit of gossip.

I’m still waiting for my white male privilege membership card. Must have gotten lost in the mail.
