Transport Canada Incident Reporting

Post by floatingbeaver »

Hey there fellas my buddy thinks he is in a bit of a mess with regards to a incident he had which he did report. Happened 6 months ago and transport is now contacting other pilot. What is their normal course of action. He has a registered letter at the post office and is too afraid to pick it up. I told him they would contact him by phone first if they were doing an investigation on him. anyone got any info on this?

I am not sure how it works when you yourself report an incident...It's hard to answer not knowing if he was in the wrong or not. If he did nothing illegal, then he should have nothing to worry about. The operative word is should. Either way, if it is registered, I would pick it up asap; there is always some sort of deadline to respond (or pay the fine).

Tell your "buddy" to get a lawyer.
