Hey did you happen to maintain the Seneca trainer that went down too?

....good old MHU ..... I use to maintain her when she was at Burlington Air Park years ago.
Flew her once to the Geneseo Airshow in 1985.
She was the first C172 I ever flew

Normally, discussion is good. But this discussion, not good.

Where is this discussion going exactly? We have two people MarkhamResident (who thankfully has given up with the libellous drivel), and TruthTeller, both anti-Buttonville, trying to convince a bunch of pilots, who are generally anti-airport-closures, that Buttonville should be closed, based on incorrect information, frivolous facts and we end up with a pointless discussion that just makes everyone look bad.

But I do have one question, what agenda do these two people have by posting this stuff here? What are they trying to achieve in this discussion exactly?

Another incensitive childish and immature response.... at least your consistant.
Just proves more and more that you are not a pilot and have no clue about the aviation industry in any way. You are such an amusing joke I can't even begin to take anything you say as serious

You know truth/sara/markham res/A.R. you seem to have some real pent up anger and aggression issues .
You must be quite the treat to live with

KK7 this whole thread is going nowhere except round and round like a merry go round.
At most it just serves to amuse us to listen to a person with an obvious hidden agenda, spout off about an industry and situation he knows nothing about except from what he reads online. He is so over the top one just has to see what his next stupid comment will be.None of what these two or as most suspect one person says can be taken seriously. Except for his insensitive remarks regarding accidents which are totally uncalled for in any circle. Use those comments as a measure as to what type of a person we are dealing with.
Those are the comments of a pathetic and angry little person that has very little to contribute.

Well if it is to alienate himself from any usefull and intelligent discussion about the topic , he has succeeded.
I suspect he has had a bad experience within the avaition industry, maybe at Buttonville and harbours a deep resentment toward the Airport and aviation in general. Most likely a washed out pilot or complainer about Buttonville that phoned so often he was told to bugger off.

However
I have also stated that I have a suspician that I may know this persons identity. If correct , this person has been playing these games for years and really does know very little about aviation at all.
My better judgement keeps me from using his real name.

Most of us here are intelligent enough not to put much stock in what he says.

Do you know what a sockpuppet is?
I've been informed what a sockpuppet is, and I can assure you I am not the same person as Truthteller. I have no agenda here other than exploring the Noise Abatement procedure that:
kzcvtm wrote:Buttonville, in consultation with Transport Canada with regards to noise abatement, two years ago have created north/south corridors along Woodbine Avenue to the north practice area and east corridor to the east practice area along the 407. (check out the latest Toronto TAC or the CFS, if you own one). Coming into Buttonville from the north and east, ATC reminds pilots to remain at 2000' ASL until entering the circuit, FYI. If you read the CFS, any takeoffs from Rwy 15 require minimum height of 1000' AGL before commencing any turns eastbound or westbound and right hand circuits. When leaving the runways, it is strongly recommended that flights climb to 2500' ASL to help in noise abatement.
I do find your comments childish, rude, and destructive to your hope of building Pickering. In the case of bizjets101, one could consider this as a veiled threat:
bizjets101 wrote:That was actually my first thought.I was attempting to be polite, in reality, how can you whine about an airport for 50 years without a clue to call your local council person, or the airport yourself!!!

A simple call to Toronto Airways and the phone call would have been redirected. You drive by the airport for 50 years and you never think of stopping to ask a question?

Buttonville has been in the news for good and bad, so many times - with the Sifton's name, Toronto Airways name, the reporters name, the papers name!!!

Suddenly MarkhamResident appears out of the blue, followed by Truthteller, and Sarah23.

Here's a nice shot of a Buttonville departure . . . just to make you feel comfortable while we're flying over your house :)

In review I think comments and posting have been reasonable, rational and non-hostile, certainly not deserving of the comments coming from Buttonville. Something you should think about when posting in an open forum.

sarah23 or who ever you are, why on earth you would ask the questions you are asking on a public forum I have no idea. Especially noise abatement which can be a pretty sensitive issue in Aviation circles.
There have been so many issues and complaints regarding noise etc over the years from people that live around airports that most pilots at this point just tune it out.

Would it not be better for you to have posed you query to a controlling body , NAV Canada, TC OR perhaps Buttonville Admin themselves
This is a public forum and as with all of them there will be people that agree, people that don't and ones that just want to stir the pot.
You need to be a bit more thick skinned to play the forum game.
As for your comment about veiled threats well .......please try to get over yourself ...I mean seriously you're really grasping ........
