ICAO English proficiency level 4 Cert

Post by pelmet »

Trying to get on with a foreign carrier and they have asked for a "ICAO English proficiency level 4 Cert". Where exactly does one get one of these?

I see that my license says "LP: EN" but how do I prove that this is level 4?

Maybe you should contact TC. Through the epass General Aviation On-Line Services, I see that within my Personnel Licensing - Personal Information, my Language Proficiency is English - EXPERT, French EXPERT, and as you, my licence only read "LP: EN/FR". I don't know if Expert is level 4, but TC maybe able to provide you with something.

Canada only issues levels 4, 5 and 6.

If you are a native English speaker you are automatically a 6.

Sometimes there are just absolute GEMS hidden here in Avcanada!! I've been grappling with this one for about a week. Thanks!
Now, how about a conversion for ICAO or even ALPT to a TOEFL score?
