He flies a Mk.II Sleigh, equipped with 9 high output reindeer engines.
The Mk.I just didn't have the cargo room anymore. It was also lacking the Rudolph engine with the high output generator used to power the super high intensity light that can see through the fog. It entered service just in time too on that foggy christmas eve.

Lets look at the facts: He needs good short field performance. He needs a lot of cargo room. He needs the ability to land on snow. He is based at the North Pole. He likes the colour red.

I think its pretty obvious he wet leases a KBA Twotter

Transport Canada has issued a flight permit to Santa, even though he has not yet demonstrated compliance with the "2010 performance rule"
