Re: ORNGE Hiring
I buddy of mine got a call for an interview in the middle of December but he wasn't able to make the date. Ornge HR told him they would be interviewing in Jan '11 again and to expect a call.

Re: ORNGE Hiring
You folks realize of course, that as soon as there's a change in the Ontario government, ORNGE is toast. You do know that...don't you? After the Goat @#$! known as the G20, and all the constitutional infractions that the Ontario government allowed to go on, that the government will pretty most likely change? Then the tax payer will get wind of the(roughly) 230 Million dollars that were spent to launch an entirely unnecessary medevac service, to compete directly with the private sector.....ORNGE will have a very short life expectancy, indeed. The high priced taxi service will be kaput.

The best "Brown Bear" of them all!

Re: ORNGE Hiring
Sorry Brown Bear but I think you are wrong. When the new regime comes to power, ORNGE will do eveything in their power to sell the idea to a greenhorn politician. They are in so deep now that it is difficult for any political power to admit mistakes, regardless of which party originally allowed it. In fact they may even be able to upsell their idea and expand their power. I'm not positive but I believe the word Politician is the word for stupid in latin.

The BC Air ambulance service that used JETS ,had its jets sold within three weeks of a change of government.
Ontario is running a deficit larger than most countries. If the Government decides to make the austerity cuts that every other nation in the industrial world is making .Ornge may get the same treatment as all other government departments.Even the privately owned part of Ornge may not survive the cuts that will need to be made after the next election. No more matter what party is elected.

Can't see anyone entering into a jump seat agreement with a company that is not able to reciprocate. Possible I suppose, but they are called reciprocal jump seat agreements for a reason.FlipFlops wrote:Might of already been answered but do they have jump seat agreements with anyone?

You do realize there is a federal law in Canada that mandates the need for medevac service right? which is why EVERY province in Canada has medevac service?Brown Bear wrote:You folks realize of course, that as soon as there's a change in the Ontario government, ORNGE is toast. Ornge isn't going anywhere...the province of Ontario wastes way more money on other unnecessary things than making sure people can get adequate medical attention. Also, I don't work for ornge, so nothing you say about the company will hurt my 'feelings' ...

Sure I’ll bite. Maybe if you drop the condescending tone and smart ass remarks in a lot of your posts YOU wouldn’t have this problem.

Re: ORNGE Hiring
All right ladies, back on topic;
Not sure if this has been addressed before (too lazy to look) but THEY ARE ONLY HIRING FOR THE RIGHT SEAT AT THIS TIME. It doesn't matter what kind of time & experience you have you will be interviewing for an f/o. If you get the call please be sure to confirm this for yourself. I'm sure I'm not the only one who made the assumption that I'd be interviewing for a captain's seat. (Completely my own fault; should never assume anything in life though I must admit I was more than a little surprised when the offer came for the right seat.) This was a fairly costly mistake on my part (tickets to Toronto, hotel, haircut done by someone other than myself etc etc...) and I'd hate for someone else to do the same.

Re: ORNGE Hiring
You do realize, of course (we know you do, because you're so wise, and well spoken) that Ontario has had medevac services long before OrAnge came into existence? Ontario citizens have always had "adequate" medical attention. Private aviation operators have provided medevac services throughout the Province, since long before you were hatched, and will continue to do so, with or without OrAnge.C206Pilot wrote:You do realize there is a federal law in Canada that mandates the need for medevac service right? which is why EVERY province in Canada has medevac service? Re: ORNGE Hiring
How does this make me a "complete tard", or a "douchebag"? You can of course furnish us with a copy of the "federal law that mandates the need for a medevac service.." I'm sure no law exists that "mandates a need" for anything. Prove me wrong. Now, you run along play nice with the other posters.C206Pilot wrote:You do realize there is a federal law in Canada that mandates the need for medevac service right? which is why EVERY province in Canada has medevac service? Re: ORNGE Hiring
A 12 year old girl may be a bit over qualified. Although I'm sure she would think the PC12 is super cute.
I'm never played as the villian in the stories I've told.
Re: ORNGE Hiring
Anybody who has already gone for an interview recently (besides Toeless) could you PM me please. Got a call, just looking for some info.
Thanks
Thanks
