[quote="FighterPilot"]Finally after slacking for a few months I've gotten around to editing my Norseman Day pictures.
Hope you's like them.

They were well worth waiting for. Thanks for posting!

I sure wish I was still looking after Serial #124 now sporting DQ-GWW formerly CF-GQW. First aircraft I signed out with my shiny new ticket circa 1964.....It's snowing by the way.....

Nice to see GWW back to life with the Edo's! She looks much better than the last photo I saw a few years ago.

I had wonderful times "experiencing the difference" with that Beaver as well as with GLL in 2001.

Not to worry Rowdy. Any place you can fly with the window open this time of year gets my vote. :D

It has been said before, but not by me...best thread ever.

Personally, I'm a little sick of winter so here's one from a few years back that hints at warmer temps to come.
Enjoy.

As always, some great shots! Here are a couple more with minor picasa editing, using only auto contrast and cropping. First time I've actually posted shots that are not raw. Enjoy

I was working in PNG just last year and I have to say it was the most challenging and exciting environment I've worked in so far. From enormous thunderstorms and jungle covered mountains to pigs running across the runway and dogs sleeping on the threshold... no two days are the same out there!! The people are just as interesting; right out of the stone-age, yet they are always willing to share what little they have. Just don't piss one of them off!!! ;)

+1, except I was in West Papua... pretty much the same thing though as far as flying goes.

Tanzania has some pretty challenging stuff and in some ways can be much more difficult at times due to the animals on the runway, the poor runway maintenance (rough, bumpy, roller coaster resemblance and unpredictable surface conditions) and heavy loads out of the bush strips... but still can not compare to the weather, terrain and runway altitude, slope and position of some of the strips in Papua.

That video is actually pretty old, but was one of my favourite spots to go.
:D

The passenger terminal facility in your video was top notch too :D
