The one thing I remember about growing up in the Trudeau-esque seventies that our Liberal government did that I appreciated at the time was the ample production of the NFB vignettes. A few you probably remember like the "Log Driver's Waltz", but there were some that were a little more obscure. This one every Canadian aviator should know by heart.

I knew the basics of the story, although I didn't know the specifics, ie Peace River and Fort Vermin. I'm curious why they didn't mention he was also the first person to do an air search, with his involvement in the hunt for the Rat River Trapper.
