In fact, Jazz has to use AC grd and pax handling services whenever it is an AC staffed airport, as per the CPA.

Everything else is pass-through cost........ meaning that the one who is actually making a profit out of the service has to assume the fuel, nav and airport fees.

And what does the C2 passes have to do with this anyways?[/quote]

By the way...... I have personnaly seen Jazz rampies running on the ramp, in order to get a repositionning flight out on time at a remote base.......... In YUL Jazz flights have a hard time having ground crews to be there on time to marshall the aircraft in....
AC calls the shots......so be it.

Are you sure? Standing alone means you'd have to pay for your own fuel.
Jazz provides lift to AC for a price. Do you really think that Jazz should, would or could just 'throw the gas in for free' Grow the phuck up.

We'd get a much better deal farming out the ground handling I'm sure. If Jazz was a stand alone airline as well it would get the ticket sales (which HAVE to be more than the rate Jazz charges) and could pick it own routes.

Lets put things in focus ... both airlines need each other, and a stand alone is a big, expensive, risky step. We're most likely stronger together then we are apart.

Time will tell ...

AC needs jazz more then they would like to believe. Yet jazz wouldn't exist without AC. So accept it as is, cause they both need each other.

I think most people realize that, yet some like to point out the "free fuel deal"

But then Jazz doesn't charge any diferently for fuel wether they are flying yul-yyz or yul-ygp, while AirCanada adjusts their mark-up.

YUL-YGP round-trip 19jan-20jan: 2600$ around 1000 km (2.6$ per km)
YUL-YYZ round-trip 19jan-20jan: 715$ around 575 km (1.24$ per km)

........ I think I'd rather be on AirCanada's end on this one.

It is called Yield Management.

And what does all of this have to do with A320's and B767's?

Odds of A320 within 12 months - 80%

Odds of B767 within 12 months - 20%

I can't take your money. 8) Jazz has already been in using the B767 Sim at CAE in YYZ. And if you have read the aviation newswire, Thomas Cook is replacing the B757's with A321's. That will clearly affect the Canadian based Thomas Cook flying operated by Jazz.
