Hello
I'm looking for any insight into the transport canada initial testing process - I've been invited to write a test on aeronautics act, CAR's, standards, risk managment and SMS as the first stage in the selection process. Has anyone written this test and could provide insight into what sort of test this is?
thanks a bunch for any help
cheers

Palmerqc,
You didn't say what your applied for, however I went through the process for a TI-06 (Airworthiness Inspector) almost two years ago and don't think its changed. You need to know; CAR 107 (SMS),CAR 571, 573, 605 and associated Stardards for a start. You'll also be required to take an English exam which, while not difficult, is timed and there's alot of material to cover. You should have received a list of suggested study material when you were invited to write.
I still have the invite with the list if you think it will help PM me and I'll shoot you the references.
Regards
