Fraud Pilot Job Alert - Jet Aviation

Post by cdnpilot77 »

From PCC

IMPORTANT NOTICE FOR PILOTS!

CAUTION - CAUTION - CAUTION!

A job was posted for a short time on January the 8th by fraudsters claiming to be 'Jet Aviation LLC Dubai'. (They are not affiliated with Jet Aviation in any way!)

The job was removed shortly thereafter for not passing our Job Filters and due to the fact the people were unreachable.

If you are in contact with these people, stop all of your applications now and DO NOT WIRE THEM any money for Visas etc. They are actively asking for moneys to be transferred to a Western Union Account. It is a sham - these people have zero connection with Jet Aviation, nor any other air carriers. They are attempting to steal money from unsuspecting pilots.

We apologize for any inconvenience caused - and please note that at PCC, we NEVER allow companies to charge funds or to require wire transfers from pilots for Pilot Applications. And we never will. It goes against all of our policies.

If you are ever asked for money, money transfer, or a wire transfer for a pilot opening on this website, please contact us immediately. AND DO NOT SEND ANY MONEY.

If you have any further information about this fraud, feel free to email it in to us at mikeb@pilotcareercentre.com.

NOTE: We have revisited and revised our Job Posting Security / Cross-Checks to prevent these type of situations from happening again.

I don't know. If people are dumb enough to fall for these obvious scams then they deserve to be ripped off. A Western Union account!? Really!?

I think it's less 'dumb enough' and more 'desperate enough'

If you're hungry enough, you can be willing to talk yourself into anything *shrug*
I don't think anyone deserves to be ripped off for wanting a job, and a fair bit of faith is put into places like PCC, and even here.

The only people who deserve to get ripped off are the ones who fall into con men's scams out of their own greed and willingness to rip someone else off.

I would be very careful comparing pilots who flew for Jetsgo to guys getting ripped off in a scam. There are alot of ex-Jetsgo pilots around, some in positions of significant authority in their respective companies.

Unless you where actually there and knew what was said to guys with regards to the 30,000 you are in no position to comment on it..
