Family Day
Anyone know if the TC regional offices in Ontario are open on Family Day?

Re: Family Day
They should be open... Family Day is a provincial holiday so federal employees are not eligible to have the day off automatically.

Re: Family Day
Employees of the government work on "Family Day", except for those employed through an agency because agencies are Provincial. So on provincial holidays some government offices may be short a few people, but the bulk of them, namely inspectors, should be working.
As an aside, those who work via an agency get to enjoy both federal and provincial holidays since they get the provincial stat holidays off due to their employer, but they can't work on federal stat holidays either because government offices are closed.

What about Exam Invigilators?
Re: Family Day
If in doubt, why not just call up the TC office directly and as? Seems like the easiest solution to me.

Thank you for this very helpful solution...if you will notice the times these posts were written, I am sure you will be able to find out why I didn't just call. If you can't, then I am sorry I cannot help you.
Edit: I did in fact call this morning as soon as they were open to confirm that yes in fact they are open on Monday for exams.

Believe me, I did notice the times. I don't know about the office that you called, but I do know that certain offices don't do exams everyday. So family day or not, there are probably some services which you can't get everyday. Hence my suggesting you call the office you want the information about. Personally, I'd prefer you to get the accurate information from the regional office rather than show up there and waste your time to find out the service you need isn't available. Not the answer you want at 1030 at night, but I'd personally think it would be better (especially if I had the time to find out) than trusting information posted by someone who may or may not be able to give you accurate information.
