I always wanted to be this guy. Anyone else remember this?? I've got the hat, just can't seem to scare up the chivalry anymore...

Does anyone know how long ol' skyking had to work the ramp for in Buttlick, Manitoba before he got his gig?

I always hat the hots for his niece Penny. He is one of the reasons I'm so crazy in a C310. Another hero is Roger Ram Jet. I save the Sky King file if you have more send them up.
Thanks

In case nobody noticed, Skyking is not standing in front of a Cessne 310. That's an old Bambo Bomber. Cessne T-50 Bobcat in USA and in Canada they called it a Crane. Real piece of shit airplane. Old Shakey Jake - Jacobs radial engines.

The average pilot, despite the somewhat swaggering exterior, is very much capable of such feelings as love, affection, intimacy and caring.
These feelings just don't involve anyone else.

Yeh, The Wong Brothers had a Bamboo Bomber at Central Airways when I learned to fly.

But of course that was so far beyond anything I could have afforded to fly I never even got a ride in it..

And next door there was a Pitcarin Autogyro owned by Leavens brothers, my first job as a commercial pilot was flying one of their Cubs crop spraying in Southern Ont. on tobacco............ Those were the days by God.

The hardest thing about flying is knowing when to say no

After over a half a century of flying no one ever died because of my decision not to fly.

I hate to mention it, but SkyKing wasn't really a pilot. There was an article in one of the flying magazines a year or two ago.
