Dude, look in the mirror, then speak.

Post by mcrit »

Rotund Republican Rush Limbaugh suggests Michelle Obama is fat, hypocrite.

I'm no big fan of the community organizer turned el-supreme-o, or his chica, but come on Rush.....

The difference (and not that I agree with limbaughs tact, because I dont) is that she has been preaching a nutritional balanced low calorie diet for kids while she was filling her face with ribs and other very high caloric foods in photos. That it what he was basing his argument on. In her position, she needs to practise what she preaches, especially in places where photos could be taken, as perception is reality in her world. even if this was once in 5yrs she should know that every detail of her life is going to be scrutinized and crticized. Ridiculous to call her fat though!

I'm not sure why people are paying attention to this racist sociopath...

Kind of like what I'm doing now by replying to this thread. :D I guess we ALL love a good trainwreck...it's good for his ratings I guess. I'm sure Rush has a mortgage to pay just like the rest of us.

Mcrit ...

Don't be too hard on Rush ... if I were doing a talk show, I'd never miss a chance ... any chance ... no matter how small, (even if it had to be invented or stretched to the point of the ridiculous) ... to poke fun at "The Messiah" and ridicule anyone who is near "His Greatness" or any of the typical ultra-left weirdo loonies that were so vocal over the last 8 years with total untruths, and manufactured BS.

How quickly we seem to have forgotten such brain trust organizations as "Code Pink" and hundreds more groups of the same mentally derranged ilk. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AmdrkmtkCw4

So Rush is overweight ... I take it as a sign of his considerable success as a broadcaster.

"Her Highness Obama" is a legitimate target now ... so why not have some fun by throwing pies in her face when she does something idiotic? Don't forget ... she made the statement after her hubby started scoring well in misguided public opinion polls .... "For the first time, I'm proud of my country." http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LYY73RO_egw

How about poking some fun at their kids too? That would be good for some good cheap, tasteless laughs ... the uber-left Loons had zero problem wih attacking the Bush daughters ... so why not? Lets not have any concern at all about "lowering ourselves to their level." After all, they are highly tolerant of differences "Progressives" aren't they?

Lord knows the advocates of "Media Matters" or Arianna Huffington's mechanism of selective factual distortion called "The Huffington Post" have zero compunction about hypocrisy. MSNBC has made it a format for an entire cable station.....of course, their ratings are lower than a snake's belly in a wagonwheel rut, and are bleeding money into the sewer every night like a prisoner with the mental disorder "cutting syndrome" where they slice themselves to bleed for awhile. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0pm9STdbx8I

Haha. You mean like the Bush/Cheney fabricated intelligence justifying the war with Iraq? That kind of manufactured BS?

Your typical ultra-left weirdo loonies are pre-schoolers compared to what the American right has accomplished in that regard.

Rockie:

wonderful to have you back ... you disappeared for awhile and were missed.

There was no fabrication of intelligence data by Bush/Cheney/Rumsfeld Rockie. Even Saddam's own most senior Generals that sat around the table with him on a daily basis were convinced that WMDs existed.

Are you saying that the POTUS sat at his desk and scribbled out some reports and faked up some photoshopped aerial photos and agent reports, then emerged from the Oval Office saying .... "they tried to kill mah Pappy, lit's git em!"

Or did you see a few too many bumper stickers on rusted out Volvos that said "Bush Lied .. People Died" and decided that was "the real truth?"

Nah, Bush wasn't smart enough to do that. But Cheney and his behind the scenes cohorts were and they were pulling Bush's strings from the moment Cheney installed himself as the VP. Remember it was Cheney's office that exposed Valerie Plame as a CIA officer because her husband criticized the war and published doubt about the veracity of the justifying intelligence? Scooter Libby was fingered to take the fall that the VP should have. The CIA and every other intelligence agency were telling the administration there was no real evidence, so under orders from the White House they manipulated it to seem like there was, and fabricated a bit more to make it more believable to the public. Then they trotted out the one person in their whole administration with the credibility to sell it to the American people and the rest of the world. I think Colin Powell's self disgust with what he did made him a threat so Cheney forced him out. It would be very interesting to have a completely candid conversation with Colin Powell to get the whole story.

The facts as they are known today bear this out. As for the real motivation behind the war you'll have to ask Cheney, but I doubt he'll tell you.

Rockie,

I suggest you read the autobiography of George Tenet Director of Central Intelligence for the first couple of years of he Bush administration. I think you will find that there are MANY people from both sides of the political spectrum who are responsible for the faulty intelligence. You may remember that Tenet was deputy dirctor and then made Director during the Clinton adinistration and not just a puppet of Bush/Cheney. Tenet is the one who lent his name to the intelligence and, rightfully so, took the fall.

The director of the CIA is a powerful person in the American government, but he is still just a civil servant. Civil servants do not dupe the executive branch of the United States government into going to war. Full responsibility belongs with Bush and Cheney who of course bear none of it.

Short of going to Iraq themselves, i fail to see how they were supposed to know every piece of legit and ilegit intelligence, its just not realistic. There were mistakes made at every level but to say full responsibility lies on the shouldes of bush/cheney is a little dramatic and revisionist.

White House pressure to manipulate the intelligence supporting the case for war has been well reported and documented. I reiterate, intelligence officials do not take a country to war. It was the intent of Bush/Cheney to invade Iraq and they made it happen by bullying and coercing lower level officials into building a patently dishonest case for it. They made knowingly false claims of WMD evidence and capitilized on post-9/11 anger to infer a non-existent link between Iraq and Al Qaeda. Do you honestly think Bush/Cheney were fooled into it by a coordinated con job by all the intelligence agencies in the US?

That could not have happened without intense, brutal pressure and outright direction from the White House.

That war didn't happen by accident. The United States was deliberately driven there by very determined and immensely powerful people, and several hundred thousand other people died horrible violent deaths as a result. Who do you think should be held accountable?

Is it your contention then that it's OK to go to war against any country just because it's ruled by a brutal dictator?

Rockie, are you sure the CIA head honcho is a civil servant? Seems to me the CIA is independent of the government but with chosen heads...Maybe I have it all wrong.

And Haz, I hate to comment on your gross comment because it might encourage you to continue posting them, but that is really uncalled for with regard to any woman to post that type of remark when the woman can be identified.

Old Fog,
I share your feelings towards "Chicago Jebus". I also agree that when one is dealing with pure, ultra concentrated, slick talking evil, one must miss no chance to land a blow in the name of God, the right, and just all round goodness. But one must always employ intelligent belligerence to achieve lasting results.
Before one sends a round down range, one should think about the shrapnel and where it might end up. If some of that stuff is going to come back and hit you, perhaps it's best to 'advance to the rear' and wait for a better chance.

Those videos do spring to mind, and provide excellent entertainment value for a gun loving pyro like me (if you play your cards right I'll share my thermite recipe ......a little perchlorate goes a long way).
However, I can assert with a clear conscience that the outcomes of those videos were somewhat less predicatable than the fallout of a fellow who's hasn't seen his own tallywhacker (except in a mirror) in the last 20 years calling someone else fat. You see, it's all relative. If say, Twiggy, (the model, not the robot), were to call the Obamette fat, well that would be alright. It would be like Stephen Hawking calling Newton stupid; he could get away with it because from Hawking's unique perspective its true. (As an interesting aside, pretty much anybody could get away with calling Newton a jackass, because he was.)

It's all shiny, I'm not hatin', I'm just sayin'

PS Haza: You would? I know you're in YHM and all that, but the women there can't be so bad that they'd drive you to do that.
