Just tell them when they call. Jazz HR are very accommodating and will understand your situation if you cannot get away for a particular date.
However, it's in your best interest to get 'on the boat' ASAP as the difference from one interview date to another could potentially mean the difference of 20 seniority numbers (or more).

I'm not sure they actually did it on purpose. I am the only pilot on one aircraft to begin with. If going by my past experiences with my employer I would say they did not. I've been pretty happy, and they've lived up to their word.

The email I received from Jazz stated specifically that one reference must be from my current employer. They also want a stamped logbook which will clue them in that I am interviewing elsewhere.

Ah, one night when no one else is around just go into an office where there is a company stamp. Droper down than have you buddy sign it, than have him be your reference as well. haha

oh if your employer figures out you did this they may not actually be to happy with you.

If you do this you take your fate upon yourself and are a jackass for actually taking this advise, also I like cake

When Jazz says that they want a reference from your current employer they may mean a reference from someone that works with you currently. I used a training captain that had done training on me and with whom I had flown with as a First Officer numerous times in the past.

But that was many moons ago. Anyone agree? Disagree? Totally out to lunch?

REFERENCES REQUIREMENTS

To be hired at Air Canada Jazz, you are required to provide at least three references from someone you directly reported to and must meet the following criteria:

· At least one must be from your current employer.
· All others must be from your former and most recent employers.

Acceptable References

· A Chief Pilot
· An Assistant Chief Pilot
· Management (someone you directly reported to in ALL ASPECTS of your position such as an Operations Manager or Base Manager)

Unacceptable References

· Training Captains, Line Indoc. Captains
· Instructors, Schedulers
· Scheduling Managers, Dispatch Managers
· Co-workers, friends or family members

Jazz will not call references until after the sim eval. You can also request to have Jazz HR call you to inform when they will call.

Provide the 3 references as requested, but always provide a reliable reference. My last boss (district chief pilot) is a complete idiot and would never trust him to speak highly of me. I used the DFO instead!

In any case, just explain your situation to HR and I am sure they will be accomodating.

A- Actions Taken
R- Results
E- Evaluation

I'd give my left nut to be asked this in their interview so I could say "I can't." and walk out.
I'm actually going through their hiring process right now in order to gain interview and Dash-8 sim experience for an overseas gig I'm applying for (I wouldn't work for Jazz in a million years). I hope that's not unethical.

The longer you wait the better. bad news come very fast.

Only takes a few keystrokes to send out the ubiquitous PFO . But the process of it all, particularly at a time when Jazz HR is extremely busy, can take a while. I had to personally motivate one of my references who is living on a 'tropical island pace', to keep things moving. Took almost a month to get a GS invite.

Jazz HR has been told to hire 144 flight attendants, so they are swamped.
You don't want to hear from them right away, they send out PFO's quick.

Jazz states that after the interview it takes from two to three weeks to get a reply, I understand some people here have got the call after two, three days or even "during the interview", I just want to know how long does it really take to get the call, does Jazz actually waits the whole three weeks?
