Maybe the new TA will have something on the pivot point of the deferred compensation system.

Well,vic777 wrote:Maybe the new TA will have something on the pivot point of the deferred compensation system.
Our compensation system is way too steep at present. The changes through CCAA, protecting the wide body from the extra 5 % in an effort to protect pensions, and the very poor pay to protect the DC9 replacement from going out of house, has resulted in a pay inclination far far to steep.
I expect to see money thrown at the narrow body fleet (return to formula) to correct most of the problem. I also understand we may see pay groupings to further reduce the inclination of the pay scheme.
But if what you are expecting is the end of deferred compensation, you will be disappointed.
What I expect is a correction to the imbalance created as a result of CCAA.

Correct. Blended single rates for wide-body Captain, narrow-body Captain. Same for F/O's. Three-year phase in to minimize the impact of the pay reduction for the B777 and A330 types. You can call it the Raymond Hall contract.Brick Head wrote:I also understand we may see pay groupings to further reduce the inclination of the pay scheme.
His impact on the collective bargaining process and the contract was obviously far greater after he left than it was when he was ex-officio head of the Negotiating Committee.

This would be a huge win for the company (reduced training costs).... what did ACPA get in return?Understated wrote: Correct. Blended single rates for wide-body Captain, narrow-body Captain. Same for F/O's. Three-year phase in to minimize the impact of the pay reduction for the B777 and A330 types.

Nothing, in comparison to what they are going to get once the contract is ratified: Cut loose, on the age 60 issue.vic777 wrote:What did ACPA get in return?

The groupings are speculative at this point.Understated wrote: You can call it the Raymond Hall contract.

But your arrogance is astounding.

They are not speculative to the Negotiating Committee, the MEC, or I would dare say, to you.Brick Head wrote:The groupings are speculative at this point.

You seem to be the only one who has posted on the TA, as of yet..
So are you a member of the Negotiating Committee? the MEC? or would I dare say, a good friend of Brick Head!
