A hundred reasons to NOT vote for Harper.

Post by . ._ »

Just found this site. Haven't really looked at it.

http://www.100reasons.ca/

I'm sure the Fiberals would be just as bad.

There is only one clear choice here.

Actually, could you imagine how funny question period would be?

Opposition member: This government has done NOTHING to serve the people of Canada, Mr. Speaker! All the Prime Minister has done in his first 100 days is drive up the shares of Nabisco, which is owned by the transnational Kraft Corporation, because of record Oreo sales! Mr. Speaker, despite the fact that the recent poll of worker job satisfaction is up, municipalities everywhere are talking of laying off police due to the drop in crime rates and workers are getting mauled by high-fiving bears!!!. This is scandalous! I ask the Prime Minister, Mr. Speaker, what will the Marijuana Party do to address these problems and when will they finally put down the bowls, roll up the sleeves, get to work and serve the Canadian people!?!?!?

Prime Minister: Uh, what?

Of course for you techie people, there is also another choice.

What's our other choice? A harvard canada hating nerd?? Either way they are hell bent on destroying Canada, our culture, our stability, our way of life. We are stuck in endless overseas wars and occupations now. May as well move to the USA and go onto food stamps and forclose on houses. We'll be there in a few years anyway. :(

Will we see suicide bombers in our cities as revenge for all the bombs we drop?? Gee thanks harper.

I'm looking forward to the "Coalition of the Losers." I think that will really be what we deserve if we don't vote. To paraphrase somebody else, the Bloc will hold out for a "...pony in every house and a bridge for every town without a river..."

A vote for the Libs or the Dippers is a vote for the Bloc! Yay Quebec!

Are there many babyboomers in the PS? Will they all try to come back in after they leave?

Where are the responsible people of society?

I'd love nothing more than to not vote for Harper, but a sign for the "Mouth Breathing Troglodyte Party" just won't look good on my front lawn. People will think I am reh-tard.

@#$! your neighbours' opinions. If you're man enough to put a sign on your lawn espousing any of your beliefs. I'll have a beer with ya.

I'd have a beer with a Libertarian, Communist, Christian Heritager, Liberal, Greenie, or anyone that wants to try to convert me- as long as they love democracy, they're ALL heroes in my book.

I'd even have a beer with a Mouth Breathing Troglodyter. Ya never know. There are TONS of great people and ideas out there. Let's take the best and . the rest.

Absolutely, because there's nothing more powerful than a sign on a lawn. I let my Great Dane voice my political preferences on my front lawn for me.

So who are you going to vote for, and why?

I didn't see a Feces Party of Canada on the list. Maybe that's some independent I haven't heard of?

IMHO, you should research every candidate and party you're eligible to vote for. If you can't find anyone you can stomach voting for, you go in and spoil the ballot as an abstention. You have every right to bitch after that. Otherwise, you deserve the ass-fucking that the Conservatives and Liberals WILL give you. If Layton gets in and screws us, then I'll be just as anti-NDP as the next guy. Or if Elizabeth May cancels all flights in the name of Mother Nature, she'll be bad in my books too.

Educate yourself and vote. The vote is the ONLY weapon the serfs have against the elite that have fucked us time and time again since the Romans. If you don't vote you are letting them take money from your pocket and rights from your Charter of Rights and Freedoms.

Kick out the bad guys. Vote in the good guys. That's all I'm sayin'. (and yes, I realize the good guys and bad guys are different from individuals' perspectives. Doesn't matter. When the shit hits the fan, we're gonna need democracy to kick the fuckers out- whoever they are. (whomever, yeah. I just don't want to be pretentious.)

Let's rock this democracy machine, boyz!

But then the Liberal supporters will actually have to think of something intelligent to say instead of just bashing Conservatives no matter what they do.

I guess that means there will be no change amongst Conservative supporters - they'll just keep doing the same old bashing instead of saying anything intelligent! :goodman:

Iggy is about as likely to become the next PM, as I am to become the next Queen of England.

I'm not saying it's totally impossible, but really unlikely and probably not a good idea.

I am getting old. I do not understand:

1) why the opposition was so eager to force an election when they are behind in the polls and
2) why anyone would vote for Iggy or Stalin Jack. I would vote for .'s dog, before I voted for either of those two guys.

Which candidate favors a larger army, increased airlift and troop support, more military and humanitarian aid to crisis and conflict zones, genetic engineering, nuclear power, improved public transport, a trans-canada high speed train for cargo and pax, a carbon-free society, a new green revolution, a local food movement, gun laws to match the USA, and a free .308 Winchester rifle for every Canadian?
