Re: Lakeside Aviation 207 pilot ad
So has anyone got a call yet regarding this position ? I applied for the pilot position with 265 hrs....
Re: Lakeside Aviation 207 pilot ad
I do believe the minimum time was 500tt, but the old Wamair was known for helping a lot of young pilots get going on their careers, hopefully these guys give you a shot with your 265hrs. Steve's a great guy you will learn lots if you get a call. Best of luck. DHCdriver

Re: Lakeside Aviation 207 pilot ad
Does anybody know how to contact these guys? Ive sent them several emails all of which get a delivery failure message. Im guessing there is some kind of small error in the email adress posted. Hoping for the ground flight watch pos. To get on my way in my career
Re: Lakeside Aviation 207 pilot ad
If all else fails, try 411 and look up the Pine dock airport. Something should stir you in the right direction.
Re: Lakeside Aviation 207 pilot ad
I guess it might, if they are still accepting phone calls. But they are no longer out of Matheson Island. If they answer there phone I'm sure they would give you a number. Just a my thoughts.
Re: Lakeside Aviation 207 pilot ad
Anybody hear if CP Steve Taylor filled the positions or if he is still looking? I realize it's the easter weekend just wondering if anyone has heard from him or it he's still looking for some guys. Happy Easter.
Cheers

Re: Lakeside Aviation 207 pilot ad
I worked with Steve when he was flying UKN....if there was ever a guy to work with and learn from, he's it.
I guess I should write something here.
Re: Lakeside Aviation 207 pilot ad
Just an update for all. I have just accepted the Ops Manager position for Lakeside, which is actually still Wamair as the ops manual and certificate are in the process of being changed. Steve Taylor is the Chief and is a really great guy. Wamair was bought late last year and is operating two Caravans with a 207 on the way. The original posting had to be changed due to circumstances requiring an Ops manager qualification. I have only been here for a couple of days, but the new owner seems to be a really good guy, and the previous posts confirm that Steve is a great guy (we went to high school together so I may be biased). Lakeside is based out of Pine Dock, which is about 40 minutes north of Riverton. There is no cellular service there and they've just gotten a satellite internet connection, so the website will be soon to follow. We appreciate all of the interest. If more positions come up this year, we will post it in this forum first as I believe it is the most useful site I have found for Canadian aviation. If anybody has any more questions regarding Lakeside, ask away and I'll try to answer what I can.
Re: Lakeside Aviation 207 pilot ad
I have met Steve and Yourself(if you are who I think you are). I wish you guys well, and I'm just curious if your caravan positions are filled? DHCdriver.

There's four of us at present. We will definitely post here first if there is any openings.
