AvCanada "Foe" List
Anybody used it? I have. Three times now. I just don't have the patience for any kind of repeated "personal" attack. No matter how subtle. If you have a "point of view" that differs from mine, wonderful. If you take repeated "shots" at ME, and not my "opinion" you go on the "foe" list. I don't see anything more that you have to say. That's because what you have to say is about ME, and not the subject at hand. I find this a whole lot easier than "shooting" back, and lowering myself to the level of "personal" attacks.
Frankly, I think it's a very useful tool.

Actually I have avoided using it because as much as I hate douchebags, I hate people talking about me without me knowing it more.

Re: AvCanada "Foe" List
So far I've only used it once; got so tired of the anti RCMP rhetoric that I just plain didn't want to see any more his drivel, even on those occasions when he had a valid complaint. Hopefully I've made a few foe lists though, otherwise I'm not living up to my name!

Thank goodness you posted Sully, I was thinking it was only me.
Re: AvCanada "Foe" List
Why can't people just ignore the posts they do not like? If someone attacks you personally do not respond to them. Simple!!! If your above high school age this should not be too difficult. For some reason some people just cannot resist the urge to respond when they get personally attacked. Their ego too large to not respond to others who resort to personal attacks. Instead of acquiring the discipline to ignore and not respond to posters they do not like, like adults, they resort to instruments (Foe lists) that let them hide behind their weakness. That is my opinion on the matter.

Re: AvCanada "Foe" List
You used the foe list to avoid the so-called attacks against you... then you post a thread about it. Why, may I ask? Perhaps those attacks weren't necessarily uncalled for... perhaps you should look more closely and you may realize... ah, shit, never mind. Trying to reason with Doc is like getting in a boat without a paddle.
You used the foe list... congratulations... let me just run out and get you a medal.

Twenty years from now you'll be more disappointed by the things you didn't do than by the things you did do.

Which is fine to do if you have a motor! Make a reasonable point to counteract his points and he is receptive. Make a personal attack, why should he reason with you?Just another canuck wrote: Trying to reason with Doc is like getting in a boat without a paddle.

Does anyone know what a chafing dish is for?

If anyone is not on his foe list tell him he can just wipe the iPad with a cloth. It's not a real keyboard anymore.Changes in Latitudes wrote:Pictures. Or it didn't happen.Doc wrote:Well played! Re: AvCanada "Foe" List
Hell I added him to my foe list just because he either spits or spills beer when he laughs. Who wants to hang around some troglodyte who does that?

First to quote NIss
Guys, guys, please ignore the group pm. It probably is not true after all. No one can have one that small.
Now, as far as foe ratings. How about putting everyone on as a foe who posts designators...do people actually think that every pilot knows where C..UB1 is, because they have spent their whole flying career there? Post the name if you want people to actually know where it is. Reminds me of the guy from New York who heads out to Maine, and goes into a very small town general store. After buying his things he says to the clerk...Must be great to live in the country? Clerk responds by saying..."Dont know, always lived in town"
Actually I have avoided using it because as much as I hate douchebags, I hate people talking about me without me knowing it more.
Well, I wish you had mentioned this before I sent out all those PM's to everyone.
