Calgary medical costs

Post by Type4 »

What is the typical cost for a CAT 1 medical in Calgary? I've had one place tell me $200 + 60 for ECG, booked an appointment, then they called me back and said it was actually $300+60 for a CAT 1. Called a 2nd place and they said $200, asked if that was for a CAT 1, and the receptionist said yes. Like many of us, i'm a broke aviation student

In light of all the threads here dealing with supply vs demand, crappy conditions and low starting pay, why would you want to get into this?

For that price you could probably fly from Calgary to Comox, get a ride or rent a car, drive 30 minutes to Campbell River and still have money left over. $50 for a Cat 1 $30 for the ECG.

It has been a year and a half but I always went to a lady doctor, a Dr. Goebel, who was practicing in a walk-in clinic in the Sunridge Superstore. $80 plus the ECG. without the ECG, in and out in 15 min but the new location had many customers. Nice thing was it could be done in the evening. Open till 21:00hrs.

The average pilot, despite the somewhat swaggering exterior, is very much capable of such feelings as love, affection, intimacy and caring.
These feelings just don't involve anyone else.

I think Dr. Adams has had to boost his price to $120 for the exam, even so that it at the low end of the range.

I got caught scrambling for a medical due to a last minute trip and called around to a half dozen places. $150 for the medical seemed to be the norm.
